CODE SUCCESSFULLY BROKEN IN 10 ATTEMPTS. To play again click PLAY button below.

CODEBREAKER: How To Play:

NUMERIC VERSION:

The computer will randomly pick a number between 1 and 6, repeating this four times to create a secret four digit code. (Concealed in the top row under the question marks.)

The objective is to attempt to break this code by determining the precise numbers in the precise sequence.

Using the selection pad, click the LEFT and RIGHT buttons and the applicable NUMBERED buttons, to display your choice of numbers and their sequence in the bottom row. (ie. to the left of "<<<" indicator)

Then click the SUBMIT button to get an evaluation of your entry. (Previous entries will progressively scroll upwards.)

The computer will provide feedback clues, displayed adjacently, in the form of X’s and O’s.

An X indicates that one of your number choices matched and was in the correct sequence position. (ie. correct number in the correct column).

An O indicates that one of your number choices matched but was not in the correct sequence position. (ie. correct number but not in the correct column)

Please note that to make the game more challenging, the displayed sequence of X's and O's does not correspond with the sequence of the submitted digits.

With each attempt, refer to previous submissions and feedback clues to help logically deduce the code.

When the code is broken it will be revealed in the top row.

CHROMATIC VERSION:

Same as numeric version except code is depicted in terms of colors instead of numbers.

ADVANCED NUMERIC VERSION:

Same as numeric version except code is comprised of five digits.

ADVANCED CHROMATIC VERSION:

Same as advanced numeric version except code is depicted in terms of colors.

How To Cheat:

Move the cursor over the CODE button on the top row and wait a few seconds. The secret code will appear in numeric terms.
