INTRODUCTION:
Welcome to my little corner of the internet… This non-commercial website was created to practice my coding hobby, as well as to relate my musings on various topics. It is an ongoing work in progress. Content (mostly original games and apps) will be added periodically, when I have the time and feel the inspiration. Visitors are encouraged to explore.
DISCLAIMER: Please be aware that this website is not affiliated in any way with ryecatcher.com or any other website or organization that might share a similar name. Nor is it in any way affiliated with the classic mid-20th century work of literature by J.D. Salinger.
MY APOLOGIES: ...for any bugs or other problems encountered while navigating this website or using/viewing any of the games, apps, or other content contained herein. Every effort is made to thoroughly and properly review and test everything before uploading, but it is not always possible to catch every issue. When I become aware of them I will try to make corrections where feasible and when possible, depending on my priorities. Please try to be understanding. Thank you.
FEATURED CONTENT:
WHATS NEW?
This website has been completely revamped to facilitate improved viewing and interacting with on smartphones and other small screen touch enabled devices!!!! It was long overdue.
I just completed a new original baseball video game. Many baseball video games already exist, but I wanted to create my own version as a learning project. Of course, it doesn’t have the elaborate graphics or sophistication of commercial versions produced by teams of top professional coders. This actually gives it somewhat of a retro look and feel which those into vintage games might find interesting. It can be accessed via the PROJECTS page or by clicking here.
I also completed Memory Match 2.1 which is an upgraded version of my original working memory game. The main difference is that it is now better configured for small screen touch devices. To check it out go to the PROJECTS page or click here for cultural icons or here for iconic duos versions.
I have added some interesting embedded videos. They can be viewed on the MUSINGS or AMUSEMENTS pages via the navigation menu bar.
Adult content was one of the main driving forces behind the rapid expansion of the internet. In recognition of this, I created a NSFW adult version of Memory Match. I thought long and hard (pun intended) about whether to include adult content on this site, but in the end did not want to restrict myself to only PG material. However, adult content will be the exception and will require age verification to see.
COMING SOON...
This website is going to soon have nuclear capability!! Stay tuned
I will be adding additional versions of Memory Match with different themes such as Famous Canadians, Iconic Rivals, National Flags, etc.
I will be adding a new section entitled "A Peek Inside..." which offers a look at some things you might not see every day.
For example, a look inside a rare comic book from 1938. (Courtesy of my friend W. for allowing me access to his collection!)
Another example, a look inside Ironman # 1 from 1968. (You may have seen the character in the Marvel Universe movies, now you get a chance to see him in the first edition of his original comic book. Thanks again to my friend W. for allowing access to his collection.)
Another example, a look inside a fotonovel from the late 1970s. (Before there was internet streaming, or DVDs, or VHS tapes, there were fotonovels. Its an interesting curiosity.)
More peeks to follow...
WORKS IN PROGRESS...
My long delayed burby/baseball score keeping app is finally nearing completion.
I am working on a spaceship themed shooter video game in an effort to learn some basic animation techniques.
FUTURE PROJECTS?

Horror Odyssey: “an interactive psychological horror experience”
(Its still at the conceptual and feasibility stage. If undertaken it will be a technically and creatively ambitious project for me.
But I think the premises I am exploring have the potential to be fairly compelling if executed effectively.)
Adult content was one of the main driving forces behind the rapid expansion of the internet. In recognition of this, I am also considering creating a NSFW adult version of Memory Match. We'll see.
Some original DIY related videos on various topics might also be produced at some point.
I might introduce a section titled "Coding Demystified" to offer some insights into coding fundamentals for those who might be curious.
